Over 60% of court judgements go unpaid and unless enforcement action is taken will remain so. Our bailiff division can enforce collection of court judgements of £600 or more (if your judgement is less than this we cannot be of any assistance)
Once a County Court Judgement (CCJ) has been granted the courts will order the debtor to pay the judgement amount usually within 14 days. If the debtor fails to adhere to this you are free to have the judgement enforced.
Bailiff enforcement can be the fastest and most cost effective enforcement solution for debtors with assets.
In order for us to enforce collection of your debt we must first transfer up your CCJ to a High Court Judgement (HCJ) This is a legal requirement as our officers can only enforce High Court Judgements. The transfer up procedure is simple and straightforward and takes around 7 - 10 days. We take care of the entire process for you. A warrant of execution is also obtained which allows our bailiffs to seize goods and enter premises.
Once we have a HCJ it will be allocated to a regional enforcement team (We have ten regional offices across England and Wales). The enforcement team will attend the debtors address as directed and seek either immediate payment, an instalment arrangement or levy against and seize assets. If assets are seized the debtor will have to pay the debt plus costs within 14 day period or the assets will be sold at Public Auction.
